Looney Tunes is a series of animated shorts created by Warner Brothers. That showcase a number of characters that have since become famous world wide. Even during their time they surpassed even Disney in popularity. In 2013 TV Guide ranked Looney Tunes as the 3rd Greatest Cartoon of All Time out of sixty. The original shorts ran from April 19, 1930 to August 11, 1969. Looney Tunes shorts are still produced sporadicly, with the most recent being released in 2012.
